Quartier Mozart is the story of 48 hours in the life of a working
class neighborhood in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon. As in Touki
Bouki, director Bekolo is attempting to connect with Africa's young
urban population. The film explores the sexual politics of the neighborhood
through both male and female perspectives. With the help of a sorceress,
a schoolgirl enters the body of a young man so that she can discover
for herself the real "sexual politics" of the quarter.
