This politically and stylistically adventurous film explores the
links between feminism, economics and tradition in modern-day Africa.
The film creates a rich tapestry of the textures and rhythms of
village life as well as pointing out wryly ironic comparisons between
the eonomic and sexual stratagems adopted by African women in a
patriarcal society.
